1 Year of Dating – 14 Mob Museum For those of you that haven’t been following my previous posts (first one found here) I have created 24 preplanned dates for the year. So my husband and I will have one at home date and one date where we go out. I have wrapped 24 items that will offer a hint of what the date will consist of; some that may be used during our dates and some that simply solely act as clues. We’re still in the month of July, and now it’s time for our out of the house date. As mentioned here, my husband is a huge history buff, he loves to learn and he loves museums. So I knew the Mob Museum would be his ideal date.

The Mob Museum used to be a federal courthouse; one that actually housed the largest hearing in History. It showcases both sides of the battle between the Mob and Law Enforcement. They have artifacts on display, they show how the Mob came to be, fights, and what still remains today. It was amazing to see how the law enforcement had to progress and evolve with the time to catch these criminals. Best of all, everything we learned was based on proven facts, no speculation or glorified fiction. The highlight for my husband was when we got to explore the actual courtroom. It was amazing, and I know he was in hog heaven.

After the Museum, we went to Red Robin burgers; we love their bottomless steak fries. We don’t live very close to one, and there are only a few in town, so we don’t have the luxury of going there very often. Our initial plan was to sit and enjoy a warm meal, have a few cocktails, watch the game and just talk. But we missed our children, it was a family restaurant and we figured we would have a nice family meal together. So, we asked my father to meet us there with the kids, and although we strayed from the initial plan of a few cocktails and burgers, we gladly traded for apple juice and coloring crayons.
